Professional Experience:
Provost’s Curatorial Fellow, The Douglas Hyde Gallery of Contemporary Art, Trinity College Dublin, February 2025 – present.
As the 2025 Provost’s Curatorial Fellow, I work under the direction of the Director, as well as independently and collaboratively with the gallery’s team on the exhibitions programme, learning and engagement events as well as new artist commissions.
Visitor Services Assistant (VSA), Artist Facilitator and Artist Assistant, The Ark Children’s Cultural Centre, Dublin, June 2022 – April 2025.
As a VSA, I supported public facing activity onsite and offsite. Working closely with the whole of The Ark team as the main point of contact for schools and public audiences, I also undertake administrative tasks on the Box Office.
As an Artist Facilitator, I plan and deliver visual art workshops workshops for primary school students in response to The Ark’s programme. I also create displays as well as participatory activities for exhibitions.
Workshop Facilitator, Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre, Dublin, June 2023 – February 2025.
As part of Rua Red’s Art Trolley Programme I have planned, delivered and supported themed visual art workshops for children between the ages of three to twelve.
Education Facilitator, Chester Beatty Library, Dublin, June 2023 – October 2024.
Working on a panel of freelance facilitators I supported the delivery of education events and workshops for young people and adults.
Intern, Internship Program, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, Italy, March-May 2023.
During this internship, I gained experience across the museum’s visitor services, education and external affairs departments; managing the galleries, maintaining the artworks, researching and delivering public talks and tours.
Exhibition Mediator in Irish Pavilion, Niamh O’Malley’s ‘Gather,’ curated by Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, La Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy, July – August 2022.
Working on a team, I was responsible for the care and maintenance of the artworks, mediating public engagement and invigilating the Irish Pavilion during the Venice Art Biennale.
Creative Engagement Facilitator, Sculpture Dublin Creative Engagement Programme, Dublin, September – November 2021.
As part of Sculpture Dublin’s Creative Engagement Programme, I planned and delivered a series of six sculpture workshops for fifth class students in their classroom.
Studio Assistant to Katherine Sankey, Artist, Dublin, June – August 2020.
I assisted the production of sculptural work, created a website with a portfolio and photographed artist’s completed works.
Front of House Staff (Usher), Draíocht Arts Centre, Dublin, September 2019 – April 2020.
Working as part of the Front of House Team I greeted audiences, supervised the theatre, gallery and workshop spaces during events as well as managing the theatre bar and maintaining public areas.
